CHILDREN'S MINDFULNESS SERIES Welcome to the new blog site! I will post occasional items that provide opportunities for fostering children's mindfulness. Let me first state that it is often the reverse - that it is children who foster our mindfulness, that is, paying attention to the moment. It doesn’t have to be the blue iris, it could be weeds in a vacant lot, or a few small stones; just pay attention, then patch a few words together and don’t try to make them elaborate, this isn’t a contest but the doorway into thanks, and a silence in which another voice may speak. ~ MARY OLIVER We can teach children - or they usually teach us - this practice, as we walk with them along the path.
